Frakenstein : movie review

Frankenstein : movie review

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is a 1994 feature film adaptation of the classic novel Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus (1818). The film was directed by Kenneth Branagh , who also stars as Victor Frankenstein. The film presents a relatively faithful adaptation of Mary Shelley's source text and co-stars Robert De Niro as the Creature and Helena Bonham Carter as Elizabeth.

The movie start In 1794, in the Arctic Sea, Captain Robert Walton (Aidan Quinn) is a man obsessed to reach the North Pole, pushing his crew to the exhaustion. When his ship hits an iceberg, she is stranded in the ice. Out of the blue, Captain Walton and his men overhear a dreadful cry and they see a stranger coming to the ship. He introduces himself as Victor Frankenstein (Kenneth Branagh) and he tells to the captain the story of his life since he was a little boy in Geneva.

Victor is a brilliant student and in love with his stepsister Elizabeth (Helena Bonham Carter), an orphan that was raised by his father Baron Frankenstein (Ian Holm). In 1793, Victor moves to Ingolstadt to join the university and he promises to get married to Elizabeth. In the school, Victor befriends Henry Clerval (Tom Hulce) that becomes his best friend. Victor gets close to Professor Waldman (John Cleese) and decides to create life to cheat death, but Waldman advises him that he should not try this experiment since the result would be an abomination. When Waldman dies, Victor steals his notes and tries to create life. He succeeds and gives life to a strong Creature (Robert De Niro), composed of parts of deceased persons. However he realizes that his experiment is a mistake and he abandons The Creature expecting that it could die alone. however The Creature survives and learns how to read and write, but he is a monster rejected by the society and by his own creator. The Creature decides to revenge from Victor killing everyone that he loves.

I love the actor in this movie kenneth Branagh and Robert Di Nero are fantastic as victor Frankenstein and creature.my favourite character is victor Frankenstein because he is very attractive and performed very well as a victor. His acting style is good even in the a horror movie his roll as a victor played very well.his character style is admirable.

when victor creating  the creature and he gives life to creature that time  used many electricity for give  electric shock  to creature and victor was very sure that this time creature  alive  he faced many trouble rather than creature was not alive. He speaks many times no...no..no...he was very sad because after many times he try to give life of creature. tired victor When  go out the lab that time  one voice he heard and this voice of creature he speaks  very happily .."it's alive''. I watched this scene many times. Because this scene is very attractive and audience was very curious that know about the creature alive or not.

Overall, movie cenimatography , background music , lights , darkness ,acting and all setting of places are very admirable and good. In horror movie background music is most important part of horror movie because it's make horror scene. The movie match with the novel .

I would highly recommend "Frankenstein'', especially if you likes the horror and ci -fi fiction movie.it will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end and i am sure you will not regret watching it.
